The Pop in your Job:
IT Procurement is a perfect combination of being at the forefront of technological progress and negotiation challenges. Technologically, IT is expanding into almost all areas of both business and life, as digitalization, big data, and artificial intelligence become mainstream. Not only in companies, but also in society, there is a huge demand to get such technology explained. Commercially, various kinds of goods (e. g., hardware), services (e.g.,, people), and even rights (e.g., usage rights) are to be negotiated. Having once decided for one particular solution, there is a high risk of becoming locked in soon after. On the one side, negotiating such monopolistic situations is a challenge, but it also provides opportunities to differentiate from competition if done professionally.
