As the world undergoes rapid transformation, sourcing and procurement functions must adapt to evolving business environments, technological advancements, and changing global dynamics. This transition presents significant challenges for companies, requiring procurement professionals to be equipped with the right skills and to foster a culture of continuous learning. To address these challenges, transforming skill-sharing processes is essential. This ensures that procurement teams are aligned with the workforce capabilities needed for the future and can leverage diverse learning solutions to navigate the complexities ahead. Vesa will share how UPM has established its own Sourcing and Procurement Academy, a key initiative to encourage learning and skill-sharing. Through this Academy, UPM focuses on equipping their sourcing and procurement professionals with the necessary skills and competencies to meet future demands.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to leverage learning solutions to ensure your team has the competencies to thrive in a rapidly changing environment?
  • How to establish a sourcing and procurement academy which prepares teams for future skill demands?
  • How to identify and integrate future competences in your team’s development strategies?
