A few years ago, we encountered two challenging situations with software vendors that highlighted the need for a comprehensive reassessment of our SAM framework. This reassessment included all aspects of our SAM program, from team structure and operational procedures to policy frameworks and the SAM tool itself. The outcome was a new SAM strategy, team reorganization, formalized processes, and the selection of a new SAM tool. In this session, we will discuss how, in partnership with Leadout, we navigated this transformation journey, the benefits we achieved, and our plans for the future.
Nick Op de Beeck is an experienced IT Asset Management & Vendor Manager Consultant. He is currently in charge of leading an expert team of ITAM trusted advisors working with clients on managing costs & risks associated with the usage of IT assets in their environment. He is an SAP license management expert with a focus SAP audit support, contract renewal optimizations and S/4HANA contract and product conversions, as well as an IBM license expert responsible for our IBM license and ILMT/BigFix managed service practice. He works with clients on strategic ITAM cases, such as M&A impact analysis, process design and improvements. He leads strategic Vendor Management (Office/VMO) cases within the IT categories ‘Services’ and ‘Software’ for several global organizations, such as vendor selection and contract onboarding of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP technology for a global logistics firm, as well as contract owner and VMO responsible for a global ERP implementation.
